Reclaim 10,000 Hours of Possibility

This new Wonder Lab project explores how smarter tools, creative problem-solving, and automation can help community organizations reclaim time and reinvest it in the people they serve.

More Time for People

The Wonder Lab is exploring a new project with a simple ambition: help community organizations across Nova Scotia reclaim 10,000 hours of staff time and invest those hours back into people.

As part of the project, we're inviting community organizations and nonprofits to take part in a complimentary time-saving review. We’ll look at where repetitive work, inefficient processes or everyday administration may be eating up time, then identify practical ways to simplify that work through smarter tools, creative problem-solving, automation.

The goal is simple. Help organizations save time so they can spend more of it supporting people and their communities.

The 10,000 Hours Saved Project

1. Tell us where time disappears

We start with a short conversation about the tasks, processes and recurring work that take up too much of your team’s time.

2. We look for better ways

We explore practical ways to simplify that work, from small process improvements and better digital tools to AI-assisted tasks and simple automations.

3. You receive a short assessment

We send you a concise review highlighting the strongest opportunities, what may be worth trying and where the greatest time savings could be found.

There's no obligation to implement anything. The idea is simply to give your organization a useful outside perspective and a few realistic ways to get some of that time back.

How It Works

Why 10,000 Hours?

Because saving time only matters if something better happens with it.

The larger idea behind the project is to help organizations reinvest those reclaimed hours in stronger relationships, more creative community experiences and more time spent directly supporting people.

Participating organizations may also be featured as case studies as we learn what works, share useful ideas with the wider community sector and track progress toward 10,000 hours saved across Nova Scotia.
